Maitrise en économie - UFSIA (Antwerp)

After his studies Stéphane joined the Cargill group (a family group from Minneapolis) in the trade-finance department and then became sales manager of the largest factory outside the United States located in Bergen op Zoom which will be the base of the Food Ingredients division. In 1998 he joined Nutreco when it split from the parent company (BP Nutrition) through an MBO as Purchasing Director. In this role he is responsible for the purchase of raw materials as well as the introduction of new ingredients to better manage the price risk on the futures markets. He will do the same later for the Provimi group, when it will be taken over from CVC by Permira and 4 years later sold to Cargill. Throughout his career Stephane was involved in divestitures and acquisitions which eventually led him to the corporate finance team of Rabobank International in Utrecht, the specialist in M&A in the food industry, and then to his home country at the International M&A boutique (Oaklins today) in Brussels. In 2017, Stéphane will be working as an independent consultant (Bridgefield Corporate Finance) with a first focus on his connections in the food and retail industry. Gradually, the network expands and very soon he will join Brugmann Conseil for engineering, infrastructure, real estate, construction and maintenance of buildings and industrial sites in Flanders and the Netherlands.
